An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self sustained.

Hi Daniel! Welcome back!

i wasnt here for a while.

Noticed. Not afflicted with the neurosis, eh? Not full-time, anyway. I tried to cure myself a few weeks ago. No luck.

wasnt informing myself about news of 9/11 lately.

Not missing anything, I'm afraid. Dull and slo-o-o-o-w.

was pissing off the JREFers with my "blind" support for Chavez.

Haha, and how about that Morales man? Yeah. Give 'em hell.

hope you didnt miss me

Actually, yes. The sims are finally coming. How quickly can Mental Ray render 50K polygons? Can you rip apart a 3DS model of the whole WTC complex into its constituent buildings? Am I asking the right questions?

Cheers.

hi OWE

Quickly is not the right word to use in this case :D
but it depends mainly on your CPU's.

I can.
here it depends how well the model has been build up.

The model is here:

http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_details.aspx?id_product=45751

(Free) registration required. Beautiful, and seemingly quite accurate. But maybe not built up in the most friendly way, definitely huge.

I rendered it here and here but otherwise I can't do much with it unless I write code. The only way I could split off the towers and 7 as individual models would be to filter the vertices by location. I was just wondering how easy it would be to select and cut in a real 3D CAD program.
