Your statement about judges chuckling as being beneath their dignity, or something to that effect, got me to thinking.
Just for the record I would like to say that I've watched my share of trials and even testified about aeronautical matters twice. I socialize with several of the local judges at the local pub. They are regular people, and they chuckle. Some of them are very good joke tellers, including the ribald jokes.
So your comment suggesting that I was somehow disrespecting the court, I was not. It is not disrespectful to think that Judge Chin might have chuckled at the conclusion of a proper trial showing his previous analysis--that she had no case-- to be basically valid. If I were a judge I would chuckle at my victory.
There is infrequently, a courageous judge, such as Victoria Roberts who ruled against the government last week in the Huttaree Militia case and dismissed a fraudulent indictment. There are not too many judges quite as devoted to justice as Judge Roberts, do the right thing in a 'land of the free' concept.
