Feet, not meters, and you're wrong that they worked above that altitude. I have experienced it many, many times. Others will document that. I have a friend who travels alot on the airlines, and he still conducts the experiment today. My experiences were about 5 years ago whilst flying helicopters for a company using the Nextel system. I also experimented with the AT&T system. Both systems work well (helicopters are very slow) at about 1000 feet, but above 1500 feet they go into "NO SERVICE" mode.

So you are absolutely entitled to believe whatever nonsense blows your skirt, but the facts are that in those days the cell phone system could not handle higher altitudes, and REALLY could not handle the high speeds of fixed-wing aircraft.

Yes, I know that the "airphone" system used to exist, but it was not a factor in the Official Narrative.

Yes, I do believe that both AA and UA, and some family members, are in on the ruse. "Hello Mom, this is your son, Scott". LOL

That ANY of the radar data was spoofed makes ALL the radar data essentially irrelevant.

The known liars I'm referring to are employed by the US government. A few examples of the lies are those told to the Tillman family regarding the death of their son Pat. The lies told regarding WMD. The lies told regarding the calculation of the Consumer Price Index. I could go on, but I won't.

Heretic,
I replied in a new thread:
heretic-s-doubts-about-calls-radar-and-victims-t633.html

Preview:
- cellphones DO work at altitude, albeit unreliably
- airphones ARE mentioned several times in the official reports
- please provide evidence of ANY spoofed radar
- you failed to name liars in connection with 9/11

I'll try finding out more about this picture, but I am really skeptical about its authenticity. Remember the lame artist rendering that was floating around before? This whole episode is fishy. I don't trust the people that are pushing this story. Frankly, we haven't even established the radio transmission as real. Yes, it seems real, but the sources are very vague. The Mineta report on this event is itself very strange.

The pictures and the radio conversation keep getting paired with the report about the George Washington bridge--which cannot be the same event unless the media reports are confused.

I've contacted people that claim either first-hand knowledge or know someone that does. All I have gotten is the run-around. From the paranoid point of view, I have come to think that this is purposeful disinformation. I do think that something happened here (otherwise I don't think it would be in the Mineta report), but there is a lot overheated crap being served up in association with this event.

Melville... Maybe we haven't proved the transmission is real.. But I see no reason for it being fake or misinformation. Could you elaborate on that a bit? Do you think the government or someone else is putting this out there to distract? Cause I think if it was someone doing a hoax they would have taken credit for it by now. There was the Mineta and a couple other radio's from fire departments and such that double and triple confirmed the event.. I highly highly doubt this didn't happen.. I think the question is, what happened. How accurate is what was described. And why was it described that way.
