FEMA 403 Defects

Postby kawika » Sat Apr 16, 2011 1:32 pm

I see some problems with the diagrams in the FEMA 403. NIST copied some of them and added a few more.

Please comment. Maybe I am jumping the gun here.

WTC7 diagrams are incorrect. Both FEMA 403 and NIST WTC7 are defective.

Page 20, figure L-19

1. The South Elevation shows a shipping ramp on the East side where the lobby is.
2. There is no shipping ramp on the South face, but a loading dock on the West side, not shown.
3. The North Elevation shows the shipping ramp on the West corner, but it was located on the East corner. The ramp led immediately underground to the WTC complex.
4. The West arrow pointer on the diagram is incorrect for the North elevation,
5. The North arrow pointer is incorrect for the East elevation.
6. The framing in the North elevation diagram for the ground floor is reversed East for West.

NIST Is the world's pre-eminent Buildings Standards Techno campus. They can't even give us a diagram that makes sense. How can we trust them?
